Texies is one of the the shops that sells affordable fish items at a reasonable price. The price range is between R15.50 to R59.90 depending on the type of meal you ordered. chip roll is the cheapest item in the menu which cost about R15.50 and the most expensive item is the sea food platter which is R59.90.
I didn't know what to order at first because the menu was full of interesting items that i wanted to try but as i was look through the menu there was this item that catches my attention and that was the calamari wrap combo which was served with a 330 ml coke. the wrap was fresh like it was baked here at texies,lettuce and tomato was the freshest and finest produce like it just arrived from the farm. Calamari was tender and perfect with delicious dressing. I really enjoyed the meal.

Texies has b id and small tables to accommodate every body who comes in, this place is chilled and plays soft music not too loud.
The staff were very friendly, they know the product that the shop offers, their prices and ingredients. They told me what was on their special for the day and gave advice on people who did not know what to order. I did not wait too long for my product.The staff know how to do their work effectively, they even check the customers more frequently. Texies is a chain of family outlet started by Joe and his father and now Teixeira, Fernando and his partners maintain and build the success of texies
The company texies fish and chips was started in church street Wynberg. From 1972 the company managed to maintain its reputation, grown its availability and made sure it paint its name out there through Cape Town. the purpose was to introduce the fast food calamari and fast food grilled fish. The best thing that helped these two to succeed was that their fish were fresh from the sea and had high quality to fulfills the customers needs.
